This is the rare issue of Batman that concerns itself as much with the goings-on at Wayne Enterprises as it does with Batman’s life as a crime fighter. Bruce Wayne is facing a very hostile takeover at his company, ironically led by the very person he put in charge. Since managing the day-to-day operations of Wayne Enterprises has never been his main interest, Bruce is seriously considering just letting Delilah Wagner have the company. His friends all object strenuously to what they see as his surrender, but Bruce has other concerns on his mind. As if the threat to his control in the boardroom wasn’t enough, there’s a new costumed vigilante trying to move in as Gotham’s new Dark Knight.
Each of Batman's partners and allies appear during the series. Nightwing appears briefly in part 6 (two cells) having a chat with Babs. He is in Issue Seven but it really doesn't do him credit. Batgirl had to save him. Yuk!. In Issue 8 Dick brings down the assassin that almost killed him... but not without help. Yuk. and Batman states that all of his allies are important to him.
