PLOT SUMMARY:
Sisters introduced us to a group of sisters, Alex (Swoosie Kurtz), Georgie (Patricia Kalember), Teddy (Sela Ward), Frankie (Julianne Phillips) and Charley (Jo Anderson & Sheila Kelley). They dealt with life, love, children, death, divorce, marriage and virtually everything else. All through they were held together by their mother, Bea (Elizabeth Hoffman).

The show became a hit with viewers. In the first episode we saw Teddy write the word 'Slut' on her sister Frankie's car, and in the last episode we saw the sisters deal with the death of their mother. The audience got to know and love these sisters...

Eric Close played Billy Griffin, a young policeman who is the romantic interest of Teddy's daughter, Cat. He appeared in fourteen episodes of the sixth and final season.

During it's run, Sisters earned one Emmy, which went to Sela Ward in 1994. In total, it received 5 Emmy nominations.

100
Georgie tries to put her life back together; Reed returns to Winnetka without Halsey and Kirby; Teddy and Cat are car-jacked when they take a spin in Cat's graduation present, so Teddy decides to buy mother-daughter pistols. We meet Billy for the for time.

Episode 101:
Out of the Woods
Teddy, Cat's mother fall into a coma. Cat focuses her attention on bringing her mother's attacker to justice. She seeks the assistance of Officer Griffin. After spending some time with Billy, Cat decides she wants to become a cop.

The Passion of Our Youth
Billy assists Cat with her training to become a cop. Billy spots a known fugitive with Cat's aunt. This causes an argument between Billy and Cat as Billy calls the FBI and Cat rushes to warn her aunt.

Episode 103:
One Fine Day
Cat's mother, who has developed amnesia, disappears. Cat rushes to Billy as asks him to put out an APB. Putting his job on the line, Billy assists Cat and ends up busted down to writing parking tickets.. In the end, Billy joins the search and Teddy is found safe and sound with her memory returned.

Episode 106:
Change of Life
Cat starts her cadet training. Billy's efforts to help only bring misery and ultimately an argument between the pair. Finally, they come to terms with Cat being both a woman and a police officer.

Episode 108:
A Perfectly Reasonable Explanation
Billy's ex-convict father arrives out of the blue. It is clear that Billy is embarrassed and hurt by his father's lifestyle. Cat tries to help by having her aunt hire Billy's dad to cook Thanksgiving dinner. Billy is shocked and angry when he arrives at the party. When Alex's ring goes missing, Billy instantly assumes his father has stolen it. Shortly after, the ring is found and Billy is forced to admit his mistake. Father and son enjoy a Thanksgiving meal at the police station.

Episode 110:
A Tough Act to Follow
Cat is told that her cousin Reed is running an escort angency from her apartment and her captain urges her gather evidence about Reed's business. Billy and Cat come up with a plan - Cat makes out she and Billy have broken up so Billy can see if Reed sets him up with anyone. The plan backfires when Reed decides to make a play for Billy herself. Finally Cat finds the evidence necessary and Reed is arrested. Billy tells Cat that she's the only girl for him.

Episode 112:
The Man that got Away
Cat becomes obsessed with catching the man who shot her mother. She takes off in the squad car, leaving Billy behind. Unfortunately, the suspect she arrests is not the man who attacked her mum. Billy suggests to her that if the only reason she joined the force was to capture one man, then perhaps she has made a mistake joining. Cat agrees and leaves to contemplate her career choice. At the end, Cat is back and Billy couldn't be more pleased.

Alex and Norma try to gain admittance to Pug's 'men only' cigar club; Trevor comes home from the Army on a weekend pass.

Leap Before You Look
Trevor is reported missing in action while serving in Korea; Bea and Billy's father consider buying the 'Sweet Sixteen' from Georgie.
Episode 120:
Dreamcatcher
Alex persuades Reed to fight for joint custody of her daughter; Gabe mourns the death of a patient who was also one of his students.
Episode 121:
The Price
Alex is delighted to learn that her show might be broadcast nationally, but is hesitant about the sacrifices involved.
Episode 123:
Nothing Personal
When Alex's show is canceled and Norma is offered a new job as a producer immediately, jealousy threatens their relationship.
Episode 126:
War and Peace: Part 1
Georgie presents each of her sisters with a copy of her graduate thesis - which is about them; Frankie returns from Japan when Bea suffers a massive stroke.
