DISCLAIMER : I do not own any of the characters. "The Magnificent Seven" belong to MGM and Trilogy Entertainment. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’d be a happy woman if Vin belonged to me.....but no such luck. I have not made any profit out of writing this, so please don’t sue me. It would not be worth your while.
Author Comment: This poem was inspired by the wonderful collage above. The collage was created by Carole and I her permission to post it here with my poem.
It has not be betaed so be kind.
1. I am not a professional writer - I'm just someone who loves the boys. My beta readers are volunteers who have willingly given their time to help me and I will always be in their debt. Any errors are mine alone. There are a number of spelling, grammar and punctuation differences between Australia and the USA... please forgive me for writing with an accent. (g)
2. I have no medical or weaponary knowledge so there are likely to be inaccuracies. I invite you to enjoy my story for what it is... a rumble about six hunks and one drop dead gorgeous, handsome, strong, cute guy - you pick which of the seven fits that description! (g)
3. Yes, I love feedback! Drop me a note so we can chat about the boys. I love to hear others views and it means a lot to me when friends (new and old) take the time to send feedback, encouragement and constructive criticism. Please don't bother to send flames... I simply delete them.
Special Thanks: * Thank you CAROLE. You collage moved me powerfully and I just had to express my thoughts and feeligns. *Thank you to Darla, who rides every journey with me and whose words of support always send me scurrying back to the computer to write more. *And finally, thank you to all of those wonderful people who have sent back comments on my previous stories. Pards, I am in your debt.
And the Walls Came Tumbling Down
Poem inspired and dedicated to Carole and her wonderful collage - "And the Walls Came Tumbling Down."
Bullets and cries filled the street of the town
I stood and watched them drag a man away
Across from me you appeared, a rifle in your hand.
Our eyes met, we both understood
And the walls came tumbling down.
Shoulder to shoulder we faced the mob
Your incredible aim complimenting my speed on the draw
In thirty seconds it was over and the victim was free
Our eyes came together, we both understood
And the walls came tumbling down.
“Name’s Chris,” I offered, without hesitation
“Vin Tanner,” you replied, lowering your rifle
As I studied you I knew you were more than you seemed.
Our eyes came together, we both understood
And the walls came tumbling down.
You shared your secret as we sat watching the sun set
“But if a friend collects, I get the last laugh,”
You smiled with amusement and I realized you felt it too
Our eyes came together, we both understood
And the walls came tumbling down.
As I ride with you now, I look back on our meeting
In a single look our souls touched and an unbreakable bond formed
For years we had both built walls to keep the world out
But each time our eyes meet, I know you understand
And the walls come tumbling down.
